The Double Club
This is a French Quarter bar that happened to become a restaurant, which means the drinks are excellent, the food is better than bar food has any right to be, and the whole thing feels like it exists for reasons other than Instagram. The sandwiches are the draw—named bartenders Gage and Raven know the menu cold and will talk you through a pairing that actually works.
Pro tip: The upstairs is quieter and private if you need it; the downstairs is neon and packed. Dom (the owner) reads reviews and responds thoughtfully, so he already knows what works when you arrive.
The food is well-regarded for being delicious, with sandwiches, tacos, and mac and cheese frequently highlighted as standouts. Many diners consider it among the best they've had.
