Nanduji

Vada Pav with proper Mumbai street spice, Dabeli with Ahmedabad's tangy-sweet crunch, Pav Bhaji that tastes transplanted - these come from a tiny Jersey City kitchen where the owner cooks them himself. The space holds only a few tables and the furniture is worn, but regulars visit multiple times per week and people drive from Pennsylvania just for this taste; the care is visible in every plate. This is where Indian diaspora go when they're actually craving food that tastes like home.

Heights Deli & Grill

This is the kind of neighborhood spot where the owner works the line and knows customers by name - a Latin deli-grill that built loyalty around reliably good pernil, pupusas, and fresh empanadas at prices that make frequent return visits easy. The recent move to a larger location hasn't changed the vibe: still family-friendly, still made-to-order, still a welcoming space. Breakfast starts at 7am, and the cheesecake is excellent.

Chilli momos - steamed or fried, thick with filling, and paired with a sauce that's tangy and genuinely hot - are the card here.
